The country Brazil, the state Tocantins, the city Palmas,population about 200,000, the temperature hot. Check in with us to see what the Lord is doing in this area of the world.
Allow me to spend just a few sentences here to explain some names.
Santo Amaro is a neighborhood in Palmas. The church that we currently have in Palmas is the Santo Amaro church. It has existed for 4 years, has an established building to worship in and was the site of our current Sunday school classrooms that the Shippensburg Church of God helped build.
Taquari is also a neighborhood in Palmas. Taquari is where we have recently begun to work on the beginnings of planting a new church or the second Good News church in Palmas.
Tocantins is the name of the state it is an indigenous word that means beak of the Toucan.
Palmas is the captial city of Tocantins.
